Christmas Giving with a Purpose 12/01/2010
[UPDATE: Less than 24 hours after the post and our funding is already all given out (to great Charities!) Check below for details of the different organizations people gave to. We encourage all of you to keep giving generously this Christmas and beyond but for now at least, we have concluded this opportunity. Thanks! ] As the Christmas season is upon us, I’ve been given a unique opportunity that I wish to share with you as well. A certain amount of funds has been entrusted to me (Santosh) to use for a good cause. But why stop at only one cause? There’s a way to give many times over with only one donation from you! Here’s how it works: 1) For every $35 you give to Livingwell Pregnancy Center or for every Christmas Shoebox you give to Samaritan’s Purse, we will send you a $15 gift card to Trade as One or a gift item from World Vision worth up to $15. 2) You give the giftcards to friends and family as Christmas gifts. 3) The giftcards themselves give to poor and oppressed people groups around the world. See? Three gifts in one! As soon as you donate, email me at GiveChristmas2010@gmail.com and we’ll send you the giftcard. The offer stands as long as the funds hold up. If you’d like your giftcards sent in time for Christmas, make sure to email us before December 17. If you donate after that time, don’t worry, we will still get you your giftcards! As a Local Church Coordinator (LCC), you will be promoting the conference at your church through word of mouth, showing our 3 min. promotional DVD, posting bulletin announcements, distributing posters and fliers, and most importantly, pray for God to stir your church. LCCs will help organize the the group that is coming and make sure everyone is properly registered. You will be the voice of our conference to your people so we deeply appreciate your help!
